The Loss Made Me Thin

I'm so sick of it I want to act my own age

But before they never would engage

It hurts to think that i was the problem

I just always wanted to please them

I wasn't good enough and I'm still not

I was always scared I would get caught

I never wanted my childhood to end

it happened so quick

no time to think

Well I guess my life has to begin

Anyway the loss made me thin

They started to notice me

The girl I couldn't even see

I can't look at the old me it hurts too much

To know that my childhood of not caring is gone

And to know that I'm in the wrong

For caring what they think

Their voices send me to the brink

I didn't eat I was so desperate for their validation

But they don't see it such as this whole nation

If I’m not small I'm not good enough

If I’m not perfect I am neglected

But it's tough

To hide the real me

I'm not the same as I was then

Anyway the loss made me thin
