Loss Makes Us Stronger

Tears fall like rain from the clouds in your eyes,

And my hand holds your’s tightly,

Your hand quivers,

As the video plays,

Tears drizzle from my eyes,

And I try to stay strong,

As your hand quivers,

As the video plays on,

Tears choke your throat,

And they silence me too,

Our shaking hands try to still,

As the video stops in it's tracks,

Tear filled eyes meet,

And your lips part to ask,

"Why are your eyes full of tears?

You never met the one I lost."

Tear strained words crawl from my throat,

And I hold your hand a little tighter,

"Because I love you,

and what hurts you,

hurts me too."
