Loss Poem

Grandma

I think of all the good times and the bad times

I think of the smell of Roses De Chloe and a hint of cigarettes

I think of times spent laughing and always having my favorite snacks

I think of the Monterey trips and the holidays

I think of the times we baked just for us and going swimming with the neighbors

I think of the times sleeping over your house and playing board games

I remember going to the hospital for your medicine and surgeries

I remember always being scared of losing you

I remember all the times you prayed, talked and told me you loved me

I never thought you would leave me this way

So unexpectedly gone from my life without a goodbye

I know you are in a better place and can’t wait to see you again

I hope you remember how much you were loved and you will be missed

I love you Grandma forever and always
