Lost

Location

Have we met before?  I don’t really know who you are

The person who looks like you is here, but the old personality is far

You’ve spent your life hiding, afraid to be you

Caught up in the stereotypes not having a clue

No we have not met, you’re not as shy and shelled as I thought

You’re way more outgoing, that’s the lie that I bought?

Rippin’ and runnin’ from the truth, not accepting you for yourself

All the problems you’ve had and the heartache you’ve felt

Have beaten you to the ground making you hide

Causing your outgoingness to turn to be shy

I’ve figured out who you are

You’re the old me

The one who was who you wanted me to be

I don’t care what you think your thoughts no longer matter

Your opinions that shelled my ego are gone, shattered

This girl that’s been hiding behind closed doors is here and ain’t going nowhere

Cuz rememba what you say don’t matta, I DON’T CARE

Who am I?

Well that’s for me to decide

I’m not lost anymore, I’ve been found and I’ll be the real me

Cuz this here D’Mayah Church? Is who I wanna be
