LOST?

Roads are blades:

that’s why your shoes get shredded.

feet can only get you so far;

use your hands,

make something;

flip a coin,

choose to keep your head up,

instead of keeping your tail in between;

look at the sky

instead of the rocks,

you won’t see much

when your eyes are cemented on the sidewalks—

notice how the sun and moon

look like God’s hands—

maybe then

your blisters would stop

bleeding;

maybe then

you can finally stand up

straight;

maybe then

roads become roads.

Aaron Nell Millado was born on March 17, 1996, in the Philippines. He came here when he was about 7 years old, and grew up mostly in Elizabeth, NJ. His hobbies/interests include: drawing/painting, reading graphic novels, (or any other fictional novels that spark interest), film, acting/improv, video games... and a lot of other things he might find interesting. He occasionally writes poems and aims to be a better storyteller. As for the nickname "Ay-Ay-Ron", well... we have Key and Peele to thank for that.
