Lost

I'm so confused battered and bruised
lost and cocooned no room to move
I wasted too much time
I'd a made it but I was blind
Jaded and confined in my mind
My thoughts eroded with worry
play out scenarios of how to scurry
Runaway but still I sway
Back and forth I pace
All that remains the same
Are the traces of my pain
Tainted and engraved
A fool for love insane

I started writing poetry at age 9 and have since worked hard on improving my skills with words up to the point of becoming an MC/Rapper. I love playing with words as expression of my thoughts and feelings.
