The Lost
slam shut the door,
my momma had left,
I couldn't ignore, grandma knew best,
i couldn't take anymore, the pain in my chest,
so I chased further more until faint was my breath,
I raved at the lord was faith I would test,
the strain I endured with a brain not at rest,
I prayed yet once more with the wish of a death,
as I laid on the floor with a kiss from regret,
I soon heard the shore a wave full of steps,
Who once I adored was now my stress,
discraced I am sure we couldn't be blessed,
but for a day maybe more we shouldn't be left,
the weight made me sore like a chain or a net,
but unscaved nor torn it was strength that I met,
then one haze of a mourn the phone rang it was then,
I heard the true pain of regret,
and saw a stain of what's left,
but no days have came an angel has wept,
the world stayed the same as I dangled from the depth,
but one day i am saved the shame will depress,
now the game has been changed I don't see it as chess,
the blame I overcame I now see as success,
