Lost
The hole where your support should be is empty
Void of all that is meant to reside there
Why is it so?
It was ripped from me when I needed it-you most
Lost to your need to boast
I am lacking the prim and properness of the others
The ones you say I must call friends
Why is it so?
Do you yearn to break me
Too much trouble to let me be
The hole you wish to stuff me in is too tight
Perhaps I could fit if the bottom was removed
Why is it so?
You seek to trap me keep me contained
Yet my will is too strong to be detained
I am not what I appear to be
Frail, weak, and in need of saving
Why is it so?
I know what is done to the strong
Crushed to fit as if they have done something wrong
The hole in the ground is filled to the brim
Water from the rain filling its depths
Why is it so?
The rain beats upon the roof like a drummer upon a gong
The rain is gone I have waited too long
