Lost

Can you hear that hollow sound that haunted shrieking scream

The scream of children everywhere with no intent to leave

A fear so thick and full of dread there is no room to cope

as fragile hearts break one by one and die without a hope

A desperate cry, a searching prayer for something that is lost

but anyone whos lived a life knows innocence has cost
