Lost

James 1:11 New English Translation (NET Bible)

11 For the sun rises with its heat and dries up the meadow; the petal of the flower falls off and its beauty is lost forever. So also the rich person in the midst of his pursuits will wither away.

Lost

Lost in the saddle holding down a peddle

The horse itself has long disappeared

Following own's hand while still in the cradle

Illusions now are habitual clear and near

Singing a song with a dry tongue

Using many words long-forgotten

Calling a sniper to pay the piper

On the path often by others trodden

With a little hope grasping a rope

Long enough to hang and dangle

Hanging on to the rope like a silly dope

To ensure self not to ever strangle
