Lost


They go forward, She steps back. Their hearts beat rhythmically, Hers flutters. They expect the day, She is stuck in the unknown. They are a unit, She is a broken piece. They do it all, She barely gets through. They grow stronger, She gets worse. They surge ahead, She falls behind. Where did they go? Gone.
