Lost but Alive

Dear Depression,

You came.
Made your claim,
Took my flame, my name.
What a shame,
It’s all the same.

I am lost.
Crossed and tossed,
Body filled with frost.
Now my eyes have glossed,
Living without a cost.

But I am alive.
Left to deprive,
But I will thrive.
In life, i will dive,
With a drive to strive.

Said I didn't have a chance.
I took a fighting stance,
And won this mental dance.
I will advance without a second glance,
Leaving you bare within a trance.
