Lost and Found

Bruised and beaten, I know you were with her I love you so much, and you do not care. Lying on the couch we plan our future As I long for the door, to run, but where. How do I escape the person I love When like a shadow you are always near. My freedom waits in a world high above, Trapped here with you whom for my life I fear. Yet, the light I see blinds me of the pain, A North Star that guides me and gives me hope. After a thousand years I do attain All I've wished for in the form of a rope. The noose set in place, the floor drops away, I’ll always be free here on from this day.
