Lost and Found

Lost I am.

Not in spirit or faith, for there is no question there,

But in who I am and what it truly means to

be me.

The world has a way-through lenses,

and filters and fakeness.

The hue of the photo does not define me,

nor the pose,

nor the people who look.

But it is a struggle to really know.

In my soul though,

I know.

A picture cannot show faith,

but I have a strong one.

The filter cannot see behind my smile

and see the sadness I feel

or how there is such a heavy weight on my

shoulders.

The dark circles and redness

are hidden away

The imperfections are covered.

But my soul is still there.

The thirst for life and adventure

is seen.

The many roads I have traveled,

The mountains I have climbed,

The people I meet,

Define me.

A kind heart

With a clouded mind

and an imagination run wild.

Keep looking, I beg you,

Keep looking and you will find

me.
