The Lost Art of Identity

Is there really such thing, To be a person of distinction? We sing the same songs We dance the same dance To society’s call, We respond like the Queen’s loyal ants. There is no I, there is no me All there is is we, we, we. Whatever happened to identity?(oh where oh where) Did you go my individual soul? Into the depths of my desire, I search for you I need to be free from this we, we, we But break but break through the spell and tell them well That they can take their conformity and go to Hell Yet why does it hurt to be unique? Bullied bullied and persecuted for being mystique. Whatever happened to Identity? What ever happened to I and me? Whatever happened, whatever happened? Whatever happened to Ident-ity... The pressure is strong to be vapid and weak Slowly Slowly thinking for myself and becoming a meek. Whatever happened to identity?(oh where oh where) Did you go my individual soul? Into the depths of my desire, I search for you I need to be free from this we, we, we So be steadfast like glue Cause there’s only one you! To love oneself is to thine own self be true Pay heed to this advice so that you may be the ultimate epitome of FREE, FREE, FREE.
