Lost In The Breeze

Huh, me being so optimistic and

stubborn thinking those things couldn't get any worst;

as if that wouldn't end up being so.

It's been so many days that I have been walking

and wandering in the dessert as we know;

suddenly I tripped over a rock and started wondering.

I went face first in a pond, my body was lying in a position that was so unleveled,

and when I thought things couldn't get any worst

the pond just disappeared as if it was in trouble.

Huh, it was just a damn mirage,

now I have a face full of sand and pain all over like last year's 4th of July.

Suddenly I saw something shiny,

but I thought nature was just playing another trick on me.

Then It became more shiny as the minutes passed,

I started talking to myself saying "maybe it not a mirage this time",

so I started to drag myself to this unknown shiny thing.

It was a two side coin of something I have never seen.

Then I saw something red as it was dancing on the ground,

almost as if it was trying to run.

Then I notice it was my blood running down the hill,

thinking to myself while I'm in shock that

I'm losing blood as the time is ticking away.

I also notice that my blood was moving and traveling,

as if it was leaving a trail for me to follow.

My blood lead me to these two cliffs,

as if dying of hungry, deprived of water,

and bleeding slowly to death wasn't enough that I needed to be played with;

mentally and physical, but that didn't stop me from following

my blood that lead me between these two cliffs where there was a huge stone.

With my last once of strength I dragged myself to the stone and watched the sunset.

Now thinking without a doubt that my life wouldn't be hard to miss.

Sometimes I feel like I'm a small fish in a big pond without a fin to swim with.

Laying here thinking that this is the end,

and that there no hope for me.

I feel like I'm a fruit fly that will only exist for one day,

that's buzzing in the mist without a clue after this day;

I would disappear and my thoughts of a genius wouldn't have a chance of recognition.

I never though life could so cruel, something god had made so pure.

Now on my last will to pray and bag to God to save me,

but yet again there was a cold brush of wind that arose across my shoulder.

Now I don't even have the strength to keep my eyes open.

Then came a beauty healthy green leaf floating and landing on my shoulder.

Then I heard a voice saying "you will hurt no longer".

I felt power, energy, life, and hope flowing back into me.

I felt the will to stand and wandered no longer,

because God was finally on my shoulder.

Now I see that I wasn't lost this whole time.

Now I see that God didn't leave from my side.

He let me suffer so I can starve the doubt and the sickness out of me.

Now I can clearly see that I wasn't wandering, but I was searching.

Now God has shown me the right path to getting back

what I clearly didn't lose in the first place.

Now I finally see that I wasn't lost in the breeze,

but that the breeze was a part of me, as if I was the breeze.

Huh, now I finally see that I'm the breeze that's drifting to the seas.

Now I'll shall journey across the seas and witness what God has seen.

I went through a lot of hard life situations, but it never stopped me from trying to make something of myself. Currently, I'm following my dream to become a chef and on the side is the passion I hold deep for poetry. I hope you enjoy my art and my poems. Oh, just one more thing, please comment as much as you can. It motivates me to write, when I have an audience behind me. Also, It really shows when a person responds to my quotes or poems can make you feel that special feeling saying you really can do what you can do. I mean it's like a painter who puts his new work in the gallery for display for all to see, and then turns around to see 10 to 20 people standing around trying to figure out his inspiration, his thoughts, and what lead him there? I love when a person understands me and when their trying to dissect my thoughts. Also, when my work of art can help others cope with their monsters and to help a person become inspired. Thanks a lot. I grew up without a father, but that never stop me from becoming a man; yet I thought life would be easy but it wasn't. The pain that I grew up with was hard, but the thought that grew with inside me was even harder. Could I be a good father, could I contain the pain; could I even forget or could I be something better than what he tried to be. Before I knew it, I woke up a man with pain in his knees, with hair on his face; even with sweat, tears, and blood on his sleeves. The lost of hair, the responsibility of having faith in you and where I worked my hands far pass there capabilities. I believe that I'm a pretty fine man and that one day that I will love my children as mush as my father and mother did... Me and my friend has a group, he does music, rap, making beats, and videos. I help out there and here for the music, raps, and videos. I used to rap myself and we go way back. I join the team and he wants me to lead the poetry side and I agreed. If anyone wants to join, then email me at [email protected] and I'll see what you got. Check out my page: https://www.facebook.com/MafiThePoet
