Lost Caravan

Mules of lust,

buried in greed's dust,

weary, hungry, and lost, vultures see them forever lost,

I pray that one day they find their vault,

The hours I paced with the caravan,

Bit my feeding hand, sent it away in damn,

Traded for a mouthful of sand,

chasing treasures that were sure to fade,

As we sipped moonlight, silently for a sage I would crave
