The Lost Child's Prayer

Dear Lord,

Take My Brain And Rejuvenate The Electric Wires To Spark Them

And Get Me To The Highest Point You Wish For Me To Aim

Everybody Claims

Im Lost And Even Though I Am Lord They Dont See The Truth

Im Searching For You

They're Not In My Mind Every Second Of The Day

When Im Praying To You

So I Finally See Why They Say The Human Eye Isn't So Keen

They Only See What It Appears To Be

They Can't Go Deep

So I Continue To Talk To You

Confused And Clueless

But Full Of Hope

Knowing That This Is Only The Storm And You Are My Sunshine

Bringing My Rainbow In Due Time

And Even Though I Cry You Slowly But Surely Heal My Heart

So I Laugh

Because Im Not The Only One Clueless

They All Are

They Don't See That Im Secretly Confused

Not Wanting To Hear Anyone But You

And If I Was To Say That They'll Swear Up And Down It Isn't The Truth

You're The Only One Im Able To Turn To

So I Ignore The Outside World

Because They're Even More Clueless Than Me

Slowly Trying To Drag Me Down

Thinking They're Doing Good

Not Knowing We're The Same

Walking Around Cluelessly

Lord I Only Want To Talk To You

Listen To You

And Even Though I'm Confused

I Will And Still Look To You.

Amen
