Lost Compass

I'm lost in the woods

So thick, light is lost

I become uncertain

Is it night? Perhaps it's day.

I'm on the run

Not sure where I'm running to

Not sure what I'm running from

The calls of birds taunting me

Chirping crickets mocking me

Dodging scattered trees

Tripping on weeds

Doubts, worries, ideas, dreams

The path is unclear

It's not there at all

Time is running out

I'm searching for my compass

Lost in the forest

Of my mind

QuirkyRose

I'm a dabbler. Trying to find that creative side of me again.
