Lost to the creek
They thought it would be funny
They wanted me to be gone
They knew I couldn't swim
They knew I never learned
They pushed me in the water
The water coming up to my chin
I kicked my legs in a panic
I don't know how to swim
One of them is on me
Pushing my head under
I fight to keep afloat
But his hand is stronger
My limbs are weakening
My vision getting blurry
I try to call for help
But not a sound will emerge
I'm choking for air
My head underwater
My body won't work
I'm in submersion
Tears in my eyes
Lost to the creek
Air escapes my lungs
And I fall asleep.
