Lost in Cyberia

The green and orange blinking

On my router, linking

In between the wires

a world filled with zero's, ones, and i'm stuck in the mire

modulating, that's the desire

electrons prancing, ethernet blazing

this digital world, so amazing

hooked like fiends

control -alt -delete to kill these zombies

I keep it in my pocket,

check it more than my mother's locket

radio waves, sine waves, wish I could make it all go away

take it to my grave,  this device so nice, keeps real life away

I can't live without it, ensnared like a beast all chained,

like a cult of priests in black, ordained

I see people walking looking like they're dreaming,

entranced by the soft glow of the screen's beaming

the walking dead are here amongst us

whipped and led so we don't make a fuss

Those bit and bytes, over a PCI bus

My monitor glows, pale and compelling

filling my need, my satisfaction is swelling

demodulating, in the darkness of my dwelling,

sense of comfort when it's with me

alone and depressed when I'm not, lost in a sea

status updates, new mates, clicks and tweets,

I don't need any relief

This is my life,I'm half cyborg

I'll have it with me at the morgue

can't stop now, feet barely touching the floor,

new processor, ten cores

must have it, more, more more.
