Lost in the Dark
They say the wicked is dark
& the holy is light
I'm still lost in the dark trying to get to the light
They say my future is bright
Yes, I do believe them.
Thing is,
what's a future without the right women for your children to be conceived in
Sometimes things aren't what they seem,
call it vision impaired
but really you're scared
to find the truth that lies behind her eyes as you play with her hair
Everyone wants to be loved
but not to be hurt
Believe it or not
the purest thing in this world is dirt
Which we call the people we hate
maybe it was just a mistake
Or maybe it was fate,
that brought us apart
Still trying to find this truth some may call light in the dark
