Lost Eyes
Dear Isa,
I remember the last time
I looked into those eyes,
dull and blue as if you
were no longer with us.
I remember the last time
I heard your voice,
small and hoarse as if you
haven't spoken in days.
I remember the last time
you held my hands
cold and lifeless.
You were at peace,
you were finally free
and for that
I will always
remember the last time.
Sincerely,
your lost eyes
