Lost. Found.

Oppressed. Searching. Lost.

Oppressed. Searching. Lost.

My heart caught beneath the knowledge

Of my mistakes, and what they cost

I struggle to breath

I’m reaching for something

But I miss, and my heart is still full of grief

What brought me here?

My soul is consumed with pain

And slowly, my heart fills with fear

I am lost. I am broken

I have no way of escape

I am helpless and I am fallen

Then, quietly, a small voice I hear

“You are loved, you are sacred”

He says, and it calms my fear

I am reminded of my worth

I am reminded that He loves me

That I was given new birth

This is who I am in Him

I am pure and I am beautiful

And my outlook is no longer grim

I lift my hands, I dance in the rain

I am chosen, I am wonderful

I am full again
