Lost Friendships

You’re gone.

Just like that.

I miss talking to you,

But it is as though,

you ignore me,

You see me as invisible.

A speck of dust you could brush off,

But I was always there.

You listened to me,

Like I always listened to you

You came back,

Thinking things would remain the same,

It can’t, it won’t.

You joke around to avoid,

But I’m not laughing

A simple explanation,

Was all that was needed.

But instead, you left me wondering,

What did I do wrong?

Now I see, it was not me.

You have your reason,

And I understand.

But it won’t change the fact

That you didn’t trust me.

All you needed was trust,

But I guess you couldn’t see that.
