Lost Heart
Beneath the clouds up above the clear sky,
I stare at a distance for a common sign
I look back to a past, not knowing why
The day and time where I could call you mine.
We both stand by the tree like peaceful birds
I gaze at you to see a cheerful smile
As you look to the pages with no words
Time felt like it stopped for a little while.
I become entranced by your lovely laugh
You swiftly get up and walk down the lane
I stare back while my heart is torn in half
At this moment it brings me so much pain
Surprisingly you stopped and turned around
The missing piece to my flawed heart was found
