Lost Honor

Lost Honor

What have I done?

I can't believe I just did that.

I knew it was wrong to do.

It all could have been avoided,

If I had gotten but a single clue.

If I could have shut my mouth for once,

We both had yelled a, fist or two had been tossed.

And now As I ponder at what I have now lost.

My memories get caught on the words of Robert frost,

If only I had been like him and looked down a path as far as I could.

Should I regret my decision?

I am not sure why but something tells me I still would.

So humbly I go back.

Hoping they will forgive and the way I sometimes act.

However vain my attempts may be.

At least they will know I did try.
