Lost Identity in the Mind of a Dreamer
Have you ever lost yourself
So lost that you can never find again
So lost that there is no return
No place of safety
No path back to your happiness
Where is the satisfaction
Where is the real you
That you once thought you had
That is now gone
And you look for her everywhere
You know she is there but where
Deep deep inside
In a place where she can’t be found
Or taken out of
You try and you try to find her
No luck
She is hidden
She won’t free from this cave
That is keeping her held in captivity
She can’t escape from the dark
And find the light in the tunnel
Hidden behind bars
Is where she is trapped
And she continues to long for her escape, which seems to never happen
If she could break free
And escape
She could maybe someday find what she has been searching for all along
All along she has wanted to find peace and hope within herself
But when she is gone and can’t be found
Neither can all that she has ever wanted
A dream that has been broken
A dream that is chased but never found
All this chasing, and never finding what is dreamt of
Is the reason for being dissatisfied
What wants to be found
Can be found
But in trying to be found it gets hidden deeper and deeper
If this cell would just let its wall down maybe one day with some effort this jewel could be gotten hold of and all of a sudden this once hidden and inaccessible dream would be in the hands of the dreamer, who went from being a hopeless dreamer to a dreamer with the power of life in her hands
