Lost Innocence

I lost it somewhere or rather

No specific place really, but maybe in many places.

Not on the field where I used to play,

Or in the books I enjoyed as a kid.

Could I have forgotten it in the neighborhood I grew up in?

Except, it is not about how or where I lost it because I will

Never be able to get it back, but

Can’t you see that is what growing up is all about?

Embracing the change in myself is what allowed me to grow.
