Lost Inside
At the age of eight my best friend left
He packed up his bags
Laced up his combat boots
And headed out into the battle field
He couldn't have known
Couldn't have prevented
That he was the reason
For my lost of innocence
I only remembered my fear for dark
Waiting to hear the pounding on the door
And hear deep whispers
The cry of agony would get the tears going
In that nightmare my parents had lost their son
And i had lost my world
The fear, anger, sadness and
Loneliness
Ate at me everyday and night
My head no longer in the clouds
I had landed into this thing called
Reality
After two years of being lost in my mind
And not being able to deal with restless nights
I grabbed my sword
And turned on my light
Flipped to a fresh peice of paper
And tore it to pieces
Twenty minutes was all it took
To flip me world around
I could finally let all my feelings and thoughts out
I had filled the paper
With words
