Lost Love

You left me here all alone,

And I can feel you everywhere I go

I lick my lips to taste the emptiness you left there

I look in front of me to realize nobody’s here

When staring at the sky

You arrive in my mind

Spreading through me like a plague

You get to me so fast

You have my heart locked in a cast

The warmth you gave is still wrapped around me

But all it is is a lost dream

I wish I was able to let you go

But how to do that I don’t know

This is bringing me so much pain

But the memory of you is the only thing keeping me sane

What we had was beautiful

We would walk outside & here birds sing

But of course they’d never understand this thing

I’m walking on broken glass

Everything I know should just be left in the past

Love is a foolish game

It’s left me with nothing but a bottle full of shame

My tears are burning through me

I wonder if all this you can see

I think of everything we could have been

Are you wondering if your that “him” ?

I’ll walk away now with my heavy heart

And all these things in mind

I’ll walk away now with my heavy heart

And hopefully one true love is what Ill find
