Lost Love

Dearest of all,

my fearing fall

I tread towards thy depths

ambiguous claims

attach to thy name

master of beguilement

sink deeper, I remind

the subtlety of pure design

how often it does not exist

ne’er a regret forms

as the surrounding storms

reveal chaos in a place of content

the crescendo builds

O’ tempest stand still!

instead sing softly, resist

yet, squalls overthrow

lasting hold ensure slow,

steady, memories beneath our grip

final glimpse, my love

as I sink, while above

you walk amongst the shore

alas, spare the seas

they know not what it means

when one drowns within itself
