Lost for Love

Once upon a springtime,

A prince was running out of time.

Lost was he,

In a castle to forever be.

Unless,

He found love.

Once upon a summertime,

A princess was running out of time.

Lost was she,

To the sea,

And Ariel was her name.

She had a choice,

And traded her voice,

Until she found her love.

She gained her legs,

Never again to be a mermaid,

So without a voice,

She set out.

Searching for her love,

She found a castle old and crumbling,

And opened wide the gates.

Before she knew it,

The Beast had her in it’s grip,

And roaring, demanded her name.

But because of her choice,

She had no voice,

And had no answer for him.

The Beast kept her there,

For many a year,

Hoping she was his true love,

And on a cold winter’s day,

She opened her heart to him,

And with her voice,

She said her name,

And he became her prince.
