Lost Love
To my first love,
Who was as pure as a dove.
Man why am I so sad
It's really driving me mad.
I thought I had it all figured out
But now my head is full of doubts.
I couldn't wait to see the baby
Possibly been it's Uncle maybe.
We could have had a good life
And you would have been my amazing wife.
But distance brought along change
And our lives started to rearrange.
I always made accusations
Without them ever having justification.
That's when the relationship derailed
And then finally you bailed.
Now I'm not even allowed to talk to you
Because of the rule accredited to your boo.
We used to be best friends
But I guess they are right... everything good comes to an end.
I shouldn't even feel this way
Maybe it's because I don't pray.
Or maybe it's because I messed it up
And you don't want to be reminded of me... oh so corrupt.
Or maybe it's because he is scared
Because of all the years we shared.
But that doesn't matter anymore
Because you already walked out the door.
Never to return
Forever my soul to burn.
All I want to do is say hi
But I know it has already ended with a good bye.
I guess all I'm trying to say is that I miss you a lot
But then again by now you have already forgot.
It's been awhile
Still hard as ever to fake a smile.
To add to it I just went through memory lane
Kinda crazy as it amounted to all this pain.
Just seeing your smile
Hurt more than running 5,000 miles.
From the plan
Which was for me to be your man.
Forever
But now it's a never.
How can I still live like this
When all I want is your familiar kiss.
I don't even think you know what I'm going through
But maybe you do.
You used to have countless number of nights
When all we did was fight.
You would cry
And I would threaten with a bye.
Now that I look back
And see the loved that I lacked.
I realize you weren't wrong
Because you were treated poorly for so long.
I know it is tough to relive
But at this point I just want you to forgive.
Sincerely,
The Lost One
