Lost Love

Your eyes glisten as waters in the night sky, I look into the vast vat, my heart shatters into a thousand pieces. Knowing that I can never be yours, and you can never be mine, their purity will ever just be a sight to behold. Our fate sealed in time. I know that when all is said and done, you and I will never be one. Yet my heart yearns to feel your touch, to say that in the darkness of dusk, your love will keep my light. Lest I loath to leave love imagined, loneliness shall grow. He who has whisked me away, taken all of my breath with a mere stare. I will keep you in the depths of my heart. Not even you will know. Sealed from the evils of the world, but bare to the guilt of sin. You will remain my anchor and my greatest adversary. In this moment of stillness and gloom. With thoughts of you running through my head, I can never know a greater agony than this. Prithee, high one above. In a world divine, birth this love, and change fate’s design.
