The Lost Memory of Love

I forgot what it was like to be in love

To be able to decribe things in a new light

Love was my muse; it inspired me to write

It was like a lense in which I used to see miles ahead of a physical barrier

To take a woman and see the world

When I saw a girl's locks flow in the wind, I saw luscious fields of green,

where one could roam free

Her eyes, to me would be pools of crystal clear water

and extravagant rays of sunshine

A smile would be the cresent moon of night, surrounded by an

infinite collection of stars

The heart would be my gateway to a whole new world

A gateway now closed to me

The memories of being enamored with a girl, or perhaps love itself,

fade away like the clouds in the sky

My muse

Gone
