Lost In My Mind

'Where are you?', is what he called. The sweet childs sing-song voice called over the cloud of darkness. 'Where are you?', he calls again...giggling shortly after.

I looked around and around but it all looked the same, it all looked like nothing.

There came a point in this darkness where I couldn't decipher which way was straight or what was backwards. What was up, was also down. What was to left, was also to my right.

As if a thick black blanket was over my eyes and all I had to listen to, was this sweet childs' whistles.

I found myself to be in an almost comforting silence, with the exception of those melodic tunes of harmless whistling.

It called to me from within the darkness and I found myself encompassed within the Land of Shadows,

And I was strangely at ease with it.

Although my writing may be morbid sometimes, which author or poet doesn't get like that sometimes. I am a naturally very energy-sensitive individual and really only get therapy and release from writing those random thoughts that begin to stir in my mind.
