Lost but Now Found

When I was a kid, it was just so easy

To do things in life and not feel queasy.

Lies were just a laugh people shared.

At four years old nobody cared.

Jesus was someone we knew we should know,

But at this age sometimes he goes.

We are told he is someone who is always there

I don’t feel like he is, when people start to stare.

I’m older now, and I’m going through things,

But Jesus loves me. Why does it sting?

He had an affair, but they were perfect, I thought.

That’s not the plan, oh yeah you’re right it’s not.

I guess I don’t understand why this happens.

“There’s a reason.” Shown in a huge caption.

Where are you God? I thought you cared.

I’m here you see. You just won’t dare.

Just open the door and take your first step.

Because maybe you’ll see I wasn’t the one who left.

There are many doors I think you should open,

So you can hear the words that I have spoken.

I’m lost God. I don’t know where you stand.

I stand firmly in the idea that you will soon grab my hand.
