The Lost Ones

Oh the cries of heartache
We are too young to know what love is
But why...
is it because they don't want to hear of
Love that children crave
Or maybe they don't want something tragic to happen
However, what if I am

Terrified

Of how you would react to me not being straight
I am terrified to tell people that I care about
That I love them
Why am I so,

Powerless,

How come I have to be scared to kiss the ones I love
Female
Or
Male
Is it because when I was walking with the girl that I liked
Some stranger decided to tell us to burn in hell
Could it be because I don't accept myself
So many people fought for their freedom
And many have
Died
Fighting
For the chance of being able to love someone
Why have so many taken their lives
They gave up hope

We called them outcast

Disowned them

For being them self

In all honesty
We
Could
Have
Saved,
Them

We could have accepted them
Instead of murdering them for their differences

I will fight

Until my heart no longer beats

My voice no longer strong

my lungs give up on me
my death
I will fight with the courage of those that have fought before me

Along with fellow allies

We will fight together…
