Lost On Our Road

We’ve built thousands of roads in our time, And thousands more to come, Dark souls wallow these roads And fled kids run, From the land we loved, An unsaid responsibility between earth and nature hung, And we built machines to make our lives easier, And we grow more food but it doesn’t make us healthier, Watches demand more time from us, Work demands more life from us, And cars only trap us from people on the street. And worst of all, these roads lead us to death, Have we forgotten how to make paths? They’re made out of habit, They lead to land, They lead to living, And surely these roads will lead to death.
