Lost Passion

Shattered to fragments In the darkness of the void A passion long lost Though buried within It sits obvious to all A soul without sin Searching with fervor But in the shadows it waits Until the moment A majestic beast Waiting before it pounces Upon this great feast A tragic dinner As the beast consumes this soul Dismayed beyond all Its presence consumes Once it is finally found By the ignorant A gem of control Brazen with this lost passion Sits on an altar Taken by so few Possessing the beholder A passion now found
