Lost soul

I saw you lay there, gone but not forgotten,
I have never met you yet I knew everything about you,
In that moment,

Life has cheated on me once more,
I was broken,

Because there it was the soul I had longed to meet,
And it was gone just like that,

I missed the chance to know you,

And all your secrets,

Someday my friend we will see each other in better places,

You will be more peaceful than you were laying there that day.
