Lost Souls

I wonder when the sun goes down

Can you feel them under the ground?

Am I the only one who see’s

The lost forgotten souls who weep

They come, they go, they beg, they plead

But some just want some compan-y

Not all of them with angry deeds

Yes, many of them are friendly

They children who see me at night

At first they bring me such a fright

But most of them just want to play

They want a friend who makes them gay

My question is where it began

Some young, some old, their lives there own

Were taken or was just the sand

I try to find the reasons unknown

I wonder when the sun goes down

Can you feel their heartbeats pound?

Even when six feet underground

Do you see those souls unfound?
