Lost Things

i had you

i held you

you were mine

it was us

she came along

met you

through me

it was us three

she has you

i still hold you

you are hers

leaving me behind

why do i feel so alone

though you are so near

why do i feel so sad

though i smile around you

why do i feel so angry

when she steps between us

though we do simple friend things like talk

why do i wish you never met her

though i push for you to get together

why do i hurt myself in these ways

when you see my cries for help as beautiful

i had you

i held you

you were mine

it was us

she is here

met you

through me

now its just you

and her

you left me...

i am your lost thing
