The Lost Wings
She didn't know she had wings.
Wings that always held her up,
wings that always had her back.
She didnt know she had a purpose,
Her eyes were a disguise,
her heart was incomprehensible .
She didn't know that her beauty shadowed all else.
A love beyond the pain,
Her wings knew,
they always knew.
The sweet melodious speech of the wings
were trapped by the dark demons setting inside her.
Hopelessness.
She didn't know she had wings.
She always had wings,
always had a way to escape and rise above it all,
but
she lost her wings.
Instead of rising she fell,
becoming another breathless life.
Her wings encompassed her.
They were always there,
but no one else was.
