Lost Woman 9/11

a dimly lit corner of the subway her rough hands were sore today she never felt the products on herself saw it sent away to another shelf fabric sewn in with the blood of young women she’s just a shoe-in, worth almost nothing fingers trembling of memories past why did the bad ones seem to last a tear of this woman will never taste the air She has been hardened by life, without a visible tear she is not like the porcelain dolls you collect for fun She won’t crack under the pressure of a scary gun but yet we all hear the boom, and watch the tower fall to its doom people will continue to gasp for oxygen under the rubble of ignorance, why have we lost them?
