Lost in the woods
The night air is cold. Everytime breath I begin to bellow smoke like a chimney.
I walk a path that I have never seen before. Only rows of trees in front of me now.
The trees knots contort and twist into faces that almost seem to mock me,
I don't remember how I got here, but I know that it does not seem likelt to escape it.
My boots crunch the ground underfoot.
Every step seems like on in the wrong direction.
I look up and see the moon, full and yellow. It is my only companion on this path.
My only thought with every motion forward is how did I leave my bed and come here.
This is the moment where I will silence my thoughts and continue down the path.
That path will either take me home or to oblivion. Goodbye.
