Lotus Stalk
Raindrops kiss the prettiest lotus bud
That triumphantly thrives in the thickest of mud
Droplet after droplet, rain tickles its glowing petals
It sparkles! Hue so unique
Ray beyond magic
Impervious it seems, each petals aglow
It forms into a glorious lotus bloom
That divine spirits know
From its sturdy tainted stalk rooted in the mud
Deepest, murky, unfathomable organic nutrients
Catapults a rising lotus bud
Morning mist fills its crest
Majestic meteor showers beneath its beauty and grace
Its tainted stalk stands firm and proud
As its roots glorify the murkiest of mud
