Louder than words

We've never loved

There were times when we tried

unable to show it

Coming from broken households

we were broken by default

You swept me off me feet

showed me what it's like to be loved

Gave me hope in our future

Gave me forever in every second

loved me unconditionally

you lifted me when I was weak

I rubbed your back when you were stressed

You bathed me when I was tired

I loved you when you felt unloved

we were a product of our environment

we broke the cycle this time

they said we were destined to fail

we stood hand in hand

us against the world

living proof that actions speak louder than words.
