The Loudest Silence

In this silence, I can hear sex from the sixteenth floor She'd been drinking, splattered some out for her peeps RIP, Made sure she wore a black bra and separated her legs as her form of mourning I can hear the footsteps of sperm cells running to the egg, She scrambled eggs the next morning For breakfast and just a few weeks later, illiterate from leaving school, She missed her period Never knew a positive sign could be so negative She scrambled eggs the next morning In this silence, I can hear the muted screams of an aborted child I can hear the scars it left on her insides, it read You have just killed a future president In this silence I can hear the United States slowly becoming secular When we speak of a second coming I can see why we barely believe it Because in a generation like ours Mary would've probably aborted Jesus A language I ain't even speaking In this silence, I can hear her rummaging through yesterdays just trying to find tomorrows The click clack of empty bottles She was homeless once, See her family didn't want to have her at home and regular people didn't want to see her in the streets She was bare back down to her feet A pushcart away from a Toyota 5 cents away from home cooked meals Her 5th sense forgot how good home feels Half eaten meals, old clothes and cardboard boxes No sure protection, no swiper no swiping, no use in fearing foxes When you're forced to live in forest Gum's her breakfast lunch and dinner And your trash is her treasure Her chest held breast Viewed as a "we are open" signs for someone else's pleasure So yes, she was raped in the last cart of the train she called home Forced to give a strange man dome She didn't have Faint flashbacks from when it all began Realizing that her and struggle can no longer be best friends In this silence I can hear the food escape her Dive off her tongue and into the water for a swim Diving to be thin, dying to be thin She is breakfast lunch and dinner lighter than yesterday All up in the ass of the media, not checking for prostate cancer This silence Will only allow us to hear the melodies on the xylophone The music made by her fingertips against her ribcage In this silence I can hear his curled opinions appear in his straight conversations As she acts like she doesn't know he has gay contemplations See when you're blinded by love it's hard to see the truth but you do You will refuse to understand that your man likes it just as rough as you do In this silence She will stand here and ask her rapist How did it feel to hold my innocence from your windowsill by your fingertips? Watch my blood splat flat back on your bed Fuck this silence I want to know, what was going on in your head See you can reap what you sow But you can’t sew what you've ripped so... I'm forced to stand here with my innocence just so involuntarily nonexistent In this silence I can hear her slowly cracking Thoughts banging against her brains Made in America, 6 sized too big. And they have already labeled her insane She put on her noose necklace, right over the one given to her by her mother, 2 chains In this silence I can Can hear her contemplate Standing on the chair, Five times taller than your typical girls high heels I can hear her looking down at us, Too high, she tips over the chair, as she still tries to fit in In this silence I can hear so many people speaking and no one saying a damn thing
